Over the term, the young people will be challenged & motivated through individual & group activities. Participants will learn new skills as well as have free time to play with & explore their favourite piece of equipment. Ground class equipment includes stilts, walking globe, unicycle, tightrope, juggling & handheld equipment.
The highly experienced And Circus staff all have unique circus skill sets which allow us to teach a number of circus disciplines including balance, manipulation, aerial & acrobalance.

The main methodology of And Circus is that everyone can, with positive reinforcement & a bit of practice, achieve the most spectacular skills.
WHAT WE DO
GROUND SKILLS
AERIAL SKILLS
BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE aerial classes are designed for those who have just started hanging about in the air. The participants will mostly focus on the trapeze but will also have the opportunity to learn basic tissue, rope, and hoop (Lyra).
ADVANCED aerial classes are designed for those who have more experience in the air or who come from a long-term gymnastic background. The individuals will choose what piece of equipment they would like to focus on.
Over the term both classes will cover three areas of Aerial:
- CONDITIONING (building strength and flexibility)
- PROGRESSION (focusing on moves and tricks)
- PERFORMANCE (developing routines through music and themes).
At the end of the term, there will be a small performance giving each participant an opportunity to showcase the skills they have acquired.

ADULT CLASSES
You are never too old to have fun and learn new skills & we at And Circus see no reason why adults should be excluded from our workshops.
We will be teaching everything from Juggling to Aerial, encluding Stilts, Ball walking, Unicycling, Tightrope, Acro, Trapeze & more!
Each week we will start with a 1 hour focused session on 1 piece of circus equipment & in the 2nd hour, you will have free time to play on your choice of circus equipment in a friendly, safe & warm environment.
HOLIDAY PROJECTS
Our holiday projects are a great opportunity to meet new friends & try out different skills, as well as play lots of games. Over the week we teach a mixture of ground & aerial skills, finishing with an amazing showcase on Friday afternoon to which friends & family are invited.
They are best suited for children aged 6 - 14 & run from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm with an hour lunch break in between.
We also offer single day options which are available from Monday to Wednesday.
PARTIES
Booking us for a birthday party is a great way to have a taste of what And Circus offers. You can choose from three party options: Ground skills, Aerial skills or a mixture of both. All three options are two hours long, with a short break in between for a snack & cake.
The party will start with a fun introduction & demonstration of the skills, after which the children will try out the equipment with the help from the experienced And Circus staff. The party will end with some games or if the participants are older, a short showcase of what they have learnt.
We can also tailor circus parties for adults who want to have fun as well.

We can offer half days, whole days & summer fair options that suit primary, secondary schools & colleges. Our staff have a wide range of teaching experience from mainstream, SEN & PRU. Please drop us a line & we can talk about what works best for your school or club.
